Last month we announced the launch of our new Risk Assessment Framework, comprising of 20 consultants for Water Hygiene and Fire Risk Assessments, to help ensure that homes are fully compliant.

Continuing with the increase in new services, we are pleased to announce the launch of another two new frameworks, now live and accessible to CHIC Members, replacing some of CHIC’s original suite of long term (10 year) Compliance Contracts:

Lifts Framework

This framework is for the supply, installation, replacement, servicing and maintenance of Lifting Equipment and Mobility Aids. It will form part of the CHIC Building Safety package of frameworks and solutions for our members.

Asbestos Abatement Framework

This is a 4-year framework of suppliers for Asbestos Abatement Services. As with other CHIC solutions, this framework may be accessed by any of CHIC’s members and any Authorised Users, providing national coverage across the United Kingdom. Service providers are:

Contracts are available to members via mini-competition or direct call off (subject to business case approval).

Consultancy Framework out to Tender

CHIC is also pleased to announce that a new Consultancy Framework is currently being procured and is now out to tender. CHIC is seeking to establish a multi-disciplinary consultancy framework comprising Building Surveying services, Contract Administration, Employers Agent, Quantity Surveying services, and Principal Designer and any other roles that may be required to support the delivery of high quality, on time, on budget works. Support may be required at any project stage from Inception to Post Completion/In Use and may be in relation to Planned Works Programmes, individual works contracts, or any other projects that may arise during the term. The framework will be split into 6 lots:

• Multi-disciplinary Integrated Consultancy Team (ICT)
• Structural Engineer
• Façade Consultant
• Fire Engineer
• Business Audit Service
• Asset Management Consultancy

We expect services to be available for call off from this framework in June.

The Growing Popularity of CHIC’s Dynamic Purchasing System

CHIC launched its new Dynamic Purchasing System last year, after experiencing an increase in demand for an alternate route to market. Our suite of now 14 DPS solutions has been popular amongst our members, benefitting from saving time and money in the competitive tender process. We can respond quickly and ‘take the strain’ out of the process.

A total of 9 DPS Mini-competitions have already been delivered for our members thus far and we are looking forward to delivering many more in the future.
