CHIP will launch its Community Chest Fund on Monday 27th March.

Communities and Housing Investment in People (CHIP) was launched in 2022 to support delivery of CHIC’s Social Value objectives. One of CHIP’s responsibilities is to provide small grants, of up to £5,000, to support local projects being promoted in the communities our members represent. Projects may involve opportunities for disadvantaged people, community support initiatives or capital projects, where top up grants will help make a difference to people’s lives and wellbeing. The social value impact of such projects will be measured in the short and long term.

Funds will enable local groups of residents and community stakeholders to secure meaningful improvements to community wellbeing and to create social value. There is no specific framework required for the projects that we will fund, as long as there is a clear vision for the project that will benefit communities, by having a positive impact, to improve the lives of people within them. All we ask is that any application for the fund is supported by one of CHIC’s members.
