CHIC is pleased to announce that it’s UK Retrofit Compliance Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) has been officially published to the market.
This development marks an important step forward in promoting compliance and quality in retrofit projects within the UK.
This new DPS will enable CHIC members to ensure that every retrofit project undergoes thorough monitoring and evaluation and that the desired outcomes have been achieved. This process helps identify and learn from any specific or systemic issues related to the retrofit risk assessment, dwelling assessment, retrofit design, installation of Energy Efficiency Measures (EEMs’) and testing, commissioning or handover of EEMs’.
Under this DPS, service providers are responsible for conducting, monitoring and evaluation of activities for each retrofit project. This evaluation process not only ensures accountability but also facilitates continuous improvement by capturing valuable insights and lessons learned from past projects.
The DPS also incorporates an additional provision for compliance auditors. These auditors play a crucial role in auditing the entire end to end retrofit process, verifying that all necessary steps have been completed. By involving compliance auditors, an added layer of assurance is established, enhancing the overall quality and reliability.
The introduction of the CHIC UK Retrofit Compliance DPS highlights the commitment to drive excellence and compliance in retrofit initiatives. It provides a structured approach to identify and rectify any shortcomings or challenges encountered during the retrofit process. Ultimately, this aims to enhance the performance and energy efficiency of dwellings, contributing to a more sustainable built environment.
