CHIC Away Day 2023
In October the CHIC team held our annual strategic awayday. We continued our progress on delivering the business strategy, as agreed by the Board on behalf of our members. We also reviewed how we currently market and promote CHIC to members and prospective members and how we should do so in the future.
As the CHIC Team has grown over the last year, this was a great opportunity for colleagues to learn more about each others roles and to cement our values as a member owned and governed consortium.
John Fisher, Chief Executive said “It was great to get the team together to review our business and marketing strategies. The day was both informative and positive and I am grateful to all CHIC colleagues for their input and investment in what we achieve.”
After a good days work, the team relaxed with a round of crazy golf. Our star players were Hannah Gould and Stephen Sharman – not that anyone was competitive!
Recruitment and Team Updates at CHIC
Due to recent growth in CHIC’s activities, the Board has agreed a new CHIC team structure. We have appointed new team members and acknowledged the achievements of some colleagues through well deserved promotions.
As we bid farewell to Biyageh Barry, who has started a new role in a different sector, we have appointed his successor for the role of Senior Procurement Manager to start in January.
The Member Services Team is undergoing significant change with the addition of three new Head of Member Services. A warm welcome to Sarah Degg, Chris Brockwell and Adrian Hussain, who will be leading Member Services for their respective regions. They will be introducing themselves to their members in the coming months, serving as your new key contacts.
Liam Gratty has moved from Head of Member Services having been appointed to the new role of Director of Strategic Services. In this capacity, Liam will play a pivotal role in steering the future of CHIC, guiding our strategic support functions that provide the back up to our members' procurement activities.
