What's New This Year?

New Speakers

The CHIC Conference will house ten interactive workshops covering today's asset management hot topics, including retrofit repairs, building safety, planned investment and new development. We have invited a wide range of industry experts to share their views and insights on how we can see asset management through the eyes of residents.

Some of our speakers include:
Lara Oyedele, Past President of Chartered Institute of Housing and CEO, Black on Board
Kai Jackson, Chair of residents scrutiny panel, Black Country Housing Group
Wayne Gethings, Chief Executive, Wrekin Housing Group
Dusi Thomas, head of Asset Management & Sustainability, Valleys to Coast
Ian Davies, Director of Property Services, East Midlands
Tom Sowerby, Client Relationships Director, Wates
Jenny Lloyd, Senior Associate & Solicitor, Tozers

The workshops cater for the varied needs of the sector, offering learning opportunities for all of CHIC's stakeholders. For our members and supply chain partners involved in procurement, strategic asset management and operational service delivery, there is a workshop for you. CHIC is CPD registered and certificates will be available.

Social Value Zone

Come along and meet CHIC's charity CHIP and associated partners. Since its launch, towards the end of 2022, CHIP has partnered with a number of new Local Employment Groups in the West Midlands, London and Wales.

Some of these will be showcasing the great outcomes from effective collaboration and demonstrating how CHIP and its partners can help your organisation achieve added social value.

CHIP seeks to bring positive, sustainable changes to people's lives by supporting:

   -   Training and apprenticeships through CHIC's contractors and suppliers
   -   Employment sponsorship, delivering training and jobs for people distant from the workplace
   -   Projects in communities that are local to CHIC's members, via a Community Chest Fund
   -   Recognition of individual achievements through learning and personal development
   -   Direct social value delivery through a range of community initiatives

See how you can get involved with CHIPs social value support by visiting the CHIP Website.
